ORIGINAL CONCERT MUSIC
Jay is a winner of both the Charles Ives Fellowship award and Charles Ives Scholarship from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. He studied music composition at the Yale School of Music and at Oklahoma City University with Pulitzer Prize Winner Aaron Jay Kernis, Martin Bresnick, Edward Knight and Ezra Laderman. His orchestrations and arrangements for artists such as Rufus Wainwright, Mark Ronson and Calexico have been performed by the San Francisco Symphony, New York City Opera, The Royal Ballet and the Louisville Symphony. He's been commissioned by Carnegie Hall's ACJW, The Nouveau Classical Project and the Yale and Williams College Bands.
